On behalf of our client we are seeking for C++ Architect, Linux to join the Company’s office in Pittsburgh, PA on full-time basis
The team works in a dynamic environment that supports flexible work hours and a hybrid schedule, splitting time between working from home and in-person collaboration in the office in Pittsburgh, PA.
As Perception Architect, you will lead the design for our perception stack, including Lidar, Radar and Computer Vision efforts, and collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure a high quality and robust autonomy solution is produced.
Job Duties
Lead perception development through collaboration with other technical leaders at employer
- Solve challenging perception problems in such a way that the team can deliver effectively
- Design, write, review and test perception algorithms
- Lead the perception team to a high standard in software development
- Work with the team to manage architecture, software and deliverables from other teams
Main requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related field
- 10+ years of experience working in robotics with 5+ focused on perception
- Exceptional C++ programming skills and more than 5 years developing robotics software in a Linux environment
- Experience applying machine learning algorithms to perception problems and executing on a GPU or FPGA
Nice to have
- Experience in full software development lifecycle
- Familiarity with Python
- Experience with Agile software development
- Strong mathematics skills
- Experience mentoring engineering
